Today was an excellent day. The day started off well when I was surprised to find out that we don't have school Friday. I thought the kids might be a bit "sugar hung-over" from their Super Bowl parties, but for the most part they were all motivated and focused. Today both groups did experiments in science. During math, we used patterns to solve equations and the fourth graders worked on place value and reviewed their math facts. After lunch, we took our spelling test and read Chapter One of The Odyssey while the fourth graders were @ band. Finally, we helped each other revise our resolutions paragraphs and reviewed superlatives and prepositions.
